Circle

Calculate circle properties from radius, diameter, or circumference

How to use Circle

  1. 1Enter the radius, diameter or perimeter of the circle.
  2. 2Let the tool export the rest of the amount according to one of your offers.
  3. 3See both diameter, area and perimeter.

Measurement of the circle

C = 2πr,A = πr²,d = 2r

The circle is determined entirely by the radius, so any one of them can be calculated by using the radon.

The square growth of the area with the radius explains why doubling the radius would result in four times the area.

All the parameters of the circle are determined by the radius: d = 2r in diameter, C = 2 gir, area A = 2 r. Note a pattern that is often ignored - ** twice the radius, double the length, but four times the size.** In the table, r = 2-hour length 12.566, area 12.566 (equivalent to the same value), r double to 25.13 (x2) and area 50.27 (x4). This "square relationship" is a common feature of area type calculations and a source of many miscalculations.

Practical techniques: A rough estimate of 22/7 ≈ 3.1429 is sufficient (about 0.04% error) when the numeric number cannot be remembered, or 355/13 ≈ 3.1415929, which is the exact score after the decimal six, which was found by the ancient mathematicians' ancestors. The project estimate was 3.14, with a 0.05 per cent error and no impact on most scenarios.

Frequently asked questions

What's the value of the beryllium?

Calculating a thallium with a multidigit number to ensure accuracy is rounded when displayed.

How do you get an area from a diameter?

Halve the diameter to a radius and then apply A = πr2.

Why is the perimeter and radius proportional?

The ratio of the perimeter to the diameter is constant, constant for any circle.

What's the difference between a diameter and a radius?

2 or 4 times less. If the diameter is used as a radius into the area formula πr2, the result becomes four times the correct value. For example, a circle of 10 diameters with a correct radius of 5, area = thorium x 25 ≈ 78.5; if 10 diameters are miscalculated, thiram x 100 thiram 314, with a deviation of 300 per cent. This is the most common error in round-related calculations, whether the radius or the diameter is confirmed before you do it.

Half a circle, a fan?

Half circle = πr + 2r (half arc plus diameter, many count only πr missing diameter). Arc long in sector = (circle angle 360) x 2 quir, sector area = (circle angle 360) x πr2. Note that two radiuss are added to the sector perimeter: sector perimeter = arc long + 2r.
