Binary

Convert and perform operations in binary

How to use Binary

  1. 1Enter a binary, decimal or hexadecimal number in the corresponding mode.
  2. 2Select the target digit that you want to convert.
  3. 3Views the value after conversion and the (relevant) bit length.

Heat conversion

Decimal = quintium (i-digit x ^i); binary 0-1, base 2

Binary is only expressed in 0 and 1, each of which is a 2-year-old, which is how the computer stores the data.

The sum is obtained by multiplying each of the decimals; the conversions from the decimals are divided by the target and the remainder is collected.

Decimal-to-decimal binary "** minus 2 offset, in reverse**": dividing 13 consecutively by 2, the remaining number is 1, 0, 1, 1, and vice versa is 1101. In turn, the binary-to-decimal-to-decimal-to-right formula: 1101 = 1 x 8 + 1 x 4 + 0 x 2 + 1 x 1 = 13. ** Every 4-bit binary corresponds to 1-bit hexadecimal**, which is the shortcut for rapid conversion - 1111,111 to F, or FF (255).

The n-digit of binary (starting with 0) represents 2n, so the maximum value of 8-bit binary is 28 − 1 = 255, 16 is 65,535, 32 is 4,294,967, 295. This is why the maximum value of the IPv4 address per segment is 255 (8 bits per segment) and why the upper limit of the old game is usually 2,147,483,647 (32 bits with a symbol integer, i.e. 231 − 1).

Frequently asked questions

Why is the computer binary?

Electronic devices are a reliable representation of two states (switch/off) and make base 2 the natural choice of the logical door.

What's a bit and byte?

bits are single binary numbers; bytes are 8 bits, commonly used storage units.

How do we turn the decimal into a binary?

Division continuously by two, the balance from bottom to bottom receives the binary number.

What does negative count mean in binary?

Use 'compensation': positive number in place to add back to 1. In 8 places, for example, 5 is 00000101, with 1111110, plus 1 plus 1111111, which is minus 5. The advantage of the patch is that the additions and subtractions can be achieved in a uniform way by addingers, and there is only one indication. 8 The range of bits is -128 to +127, which is also the range of int8.

Why do you learn binary?

The bottom of the computer is in two states, high and low, with natural equivalents of 0 and 1. Understanding binary helps you to understand why 1 KB is 1024 instead of 1000 210, why the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, why colour #FF000 is pure red (R/G/B channel, FF = 255 for every 2 hexadecimals). These concepts are based on binaryism.
